This is the moment Spanish cops arrest a woman walking across one of Barcelona’s most-iconic avenues completely naked during coronavirus lockdown.
The bizarre incident took place at around 7 pm yesterday (Tuesday) on Avenida Diagonal, an iconic avenue in the city of Barcelona, in the eastern Spanish region of Catalonia.
The woman, who has not been named, had reportedly been spotted walking around the avenue during a rainstorm and police officers were called to the scene.
In the video, the woman can be seen trying to avoid arrest, running into the road and forcing cars to stop.
One of the officers eventually grabs the woman by her arms as she tries to pull away from him and another cop attempts to cover her dignity with a coat.
The woman is put into the back of a patrol car while other footage shows her strolling the streets naked.
Local media reported that the officers took her to a hospital where she was hospitalised voluntarily.
Reports state the woman has not been reported for breaking Spain’s strict quarantine rules.
It is unclear if the woman was under the effects of alcohol or drugs and the authorities are working to determine if she suffers from a mental illness.
According to the latest figures from the Johns Hopkins University Spain has registered 204,178 cases of COVID-19, and 21,282 deaths.
