This is the hilarious moment a naked German swimmer chases after a wild pig and her litter of piglets after they stole his bag hoping it would contain food and ran off with it.

Many German lakes allow naked bathing and the man had been enjoying the warm weather in the nude when the bag snatching pig turned up, unaware that it contained an expensive laptop instead of food.

Wild boar in Berlin are growing problem for locals and at the popular Teufelssee bathing lake where the incident happened they regularly turn up to rummage through the bags of bathers who are swimming hoping to find food.

This snap was taken by actress and life coach Adele Landauer who spoke to Newsflash saying: “I had been sitting at my computer all day long working and it was really hot, so I decided to go for a swim.”

The Teufelssee is a popular destination for Berliners and it also allows nude bathing, known locally as FKK, in common with many other lakes in different parts of Germany.

She said: “I was in sitting on the grass when I saw a wild pig stealing pizza from somebody’s rucksack while they were having a swim. I thought it was really funny and I decided to grab my mobile phone and take a picture, I wanted to send it to my daughter in Los Angeles so she could show it to my granddaughter, who is aged two.

“I don’t think she would have ever seen a wild pig and I wanted her to see what they were doing here in Germany.

“Just as I picked up the phone though to take the image, suddenly another wild pig ran into view with its piglets following and carrying a yellow bag in its mouth.

“It was being chased by a man who was as naked as the day he was born.

“The wild pig had stolen the bag, probably hoping that there was some food inside, but there wasn’t, it contained the man’s laptop. But the pig didn’t know that and was determined to make it to the nearby woods. Apparently several people had lost rucksacks that had been taken into the woods by the pigs who then ransacked them looking for food, and of course it meant they lost their rucksacks.

“This man, however, was determined not to be a victim of the same thing. He was determined to get the bag back, because it had his laptop in it, and after chasing it around the grass, he then followed it into the woods instead of stopping at the edge. Everyone was standing around wondering what would happen, and then suddenly the man emerged with his laptop, and everybody started cheering. It was a really great moment.

“Some people saw that I had taken some photographs, and asked if I could share them. Naturally, I asked the gentleman for his permission, and he agreed. He told me it was fine to share it and added ‘I’m just happy that I got my laptop back’.”

She said that as a life coach, it had been a great lesson as well in the importance of being focused. She said you need to have a clear objective and go where you want to and the man was focused, determined not to become a victim, not to be someone afterwards that complained about having his laptop stolen and instead had taken control of the situation.

She said: “He fought back and he is a hero. This is the sort of thing I try and teach people all the time in my life coaching: Don’t moan about your circumstances, do something about it – stay focused on your goals!”

Wild pigs are a growing problem in Berlin and the Landesverband Berlin which is responsible for managing the issue admits it is difficult to bring it under control.

The wild pigs have no significant natural predators and spend a lot of time digging up the soil damaging local flora and also regularly stage raids into built-up areas.

The organisation is currently closed because of coronavirus, but on their webpage they inform Berliners that there are licensed hunters trying to keep the numbers down, but the population nevertheless is continuing to grow.

After getting permission from the naked man, Adele posted on her Instagram account with the message: “stay focused”.
