This is the moment a bleeding naked man attacks a woman with a hammer before he is kicked by an angry mob and cops then take him down to arrest him.
According to local media, the man was walking naked in block 6 of the Saenz Pena street in the city of Callao, in the Lima metropolitan area in Peru when he was recorded by an onlooker.
In the video, the naked man, who has not been named in reports, can be seen holding a fire extinguisher which he throws at one of the dogs following him.
The pooch manages to dodge the extinguisher but the man then turns his attention to a passing woman, appearing to try to hit her with what local media report is a hammer.
Onlookers then begin chasing after the man as police officers arrive on the scene. One onlooker runs towards him with a broom whilst other launch kicks at him.
A police officer then grabs him around the neck and his colleagues help wrestle him to the ground, where the man can be seen bleeding from his right ankle.
An onlooker told local reporters: “It seems he is a boy who is on drugs. He is known here in Callao. I know that in his house he broke his dad’s car windows and came here.”
The man was reportedly arrested by local authorities and remains under police custody while residents in the area are demanding local authorities provide increased security to prevent similar attacks from occurring.
