These gruesome images allegedly show the gory injury suffered by a woman when she got her nails done and, upon failing to pay, the manicurist bit off her fingertip.

The alleged incident is reported to have taken place in a nail salon in the town of Guanambi in the north-eastern Brazilian state of Bahia on an unspecified recent date.

Photos of the woman’s shocking injury went viral on messaging apps on Tuesday, 30th November, according to Portal CM7.

One of the images shows the victim’s severed finger stitched up with the fingertip clearly missing following the alleged bite.

Another shows her sat on a bed at what appears to be a health facility after apparently receiving treatment for the injury.

The manicurist is alleged to have bitten the woman’s fingertip off after she failed to pay her fee for the service.

The identities of the victim and the suspect have not been reported, nor has the name of the nail salon. It is also unclear if the police are investigating the case.

Some online commenters reacted with dark humour, including ‘Rafael Santos’, who wrote: “Next time she’ll get a discount for missing a nail.”

‘Ligia da Silva’ also failed to show sympathy for the injured woman, writing: “These f*ckers want to go around with their nails done and they don’t have money to pay for it. It requires work, it costs money. The material is very expensive. If you can’t afford it, don’t get it.”
