A couple and their baby son have been found shot dead on a mattress on their living room floor in mysterious circumstances.

The family’s bodies were found by acquaintances who jumped the wall of their property after they were unable to get in touch with them all day.

The three bodies were found in the Brazilian municipality of Dois Corregos on the night of 4th December.

Luan Victorio Calchi, 30, Vanessa Thiago Custodio, 29, and their two-year-old son Pietro were found dead on a mattress in the living room and the emergency services were immediately called to the scene.

The bodies were then taken to a nearby morgue to undergo an autopsy. Meanwhile, the police opened their investigations.

One theory the police are currently probing is that the man killed his wife and son and then committed suicide, given there was no sign of a break-in and that a gun was found in Calchi’s hand.

Mobile phones, ammunition, and drugs were also found at the property.

According to local media, residents allege that Calchi had a violent character.

Calchi was buried in Dois Corregos on 5th December, and Custodio and her son were buried in the nearby municipality of Jau on the same day.

The investigation continues.
