A German police murder squad are investigating after this pretty 15-year-old girl never turned up at school on the morning of 18 February.

Her father said that she had been staying the night with her older sister in Berlin, and had been expected at the Walter-Gropius Comprehensive School on the Fritz-Erler-Allee that day at 9 AM – but never turned up.

Police now believe that missing Rebecca Reusch was the victim of a crime, saying that although they do not know what has happened to her, there is no justifiable reason why she should be missing for so long.

The murder squad started investigating on Friday after releasing images of her clothing and they say they have a number of leads they are following up but still no firm idea what happened to her. Police with tracker dogs are also involved in the search.

Her worried father Bernd Reusch, 55, who runs a small building firm. said: “I was expecting to see her but she never turned up.”

He said he was completely devastated, and even filled his company car up with petrol instead of diesel because he was unable to concentrate properly.

His wife has been to church to pray for her safe return along with Rebecca’s elder sister Vivian, 23.

Police have released pictures of the missing girl who they say is between 1.7 and 1.8 metres tall, with light brown, shoulder-length hair and have appealed for anyone that may have information to get in touch.
