A lazy 30-year-old video game addict has reported his mother to cops after she dumped cold water on him and chased him out of the house using a broom because he refused to get a job.

The bizarre incident took place in the Mexican capital city of Mexico City. The exact date is unclear but it was first reported by the local press on Wednesday 23rd September.

A man named Christian Uriel, 30, was kicked out of his mother’s home in the La Polvorilla neighbourhood after he failed to get a job despite his mother’s repeated requests.

According to local paper ‘El Universal’ Uriel was a ‘nini’ which is a term used in some Spanish-speaking countries to refer to a person that neither has a job nor studies.

The report claims his mum, who has not been named, could no longer stand the young man’s attitude after he spent several months “playing videogames” and expected everything to be served for him as he “did not get up from his sofa” during the lockdown.

The frustrated mum poured cold water over Uriel and chased him out of the house with brooms and the help of a family member, reported as the 30-year-old’s aunt.

Uriel, who according to local reports was “offended”, then reported his mum to the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office and accused her of assault and mobbing.

It is unclear if local authorities plan to take action against the mum or the person who helped her.
