Mum Pretends To Find Her Newborn In The Snow So It Would Be Taken Into Care

A young mother in Germany has reportedly left her newborn baby in the snow in freezing conditions before calling the cops to pretend she had just found it so it would be taken into care.

The woman, who was in her mid-twenties according to police reports, abandoned her child who had just seen the light of day.

She reportedly left the baby in the snow in freezing temperatures and called the police to let them know.

The authorities discovered the newborn shortly after 8pm on Monday evening at a campsite near Breitlingsee Lake in the German town of Brandenburg.

It was later revealed the woman gave birth shortly before leaving the baby, and called the Brandenburg police without telling them who she really was.

After arriving at the campsite, paramedics treated the child at the scene before taking them to a nearby hospital.

Officials later questioned the boy’s mother who claimed she was just a local who accidentally saw the baby on the street.

According to the police, the woman later admitted that the baby was hers.

A hospital spokesman confirmed on Tuesday morning that the child is doing well.
