This mum has been arrested for putting her new born baby girl in a bin bag and throwing the tot into a bush as she wanted to keep the pregnancy a secret from her partner.
According to police, the 31-year-old mother who was not named from Kierspe, a town in the district Maerkischer Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, made no attempt to get help for the child. She gave birth to on Friday, but despite her alleged neglect the baby survived the ordeal.
The woman suffered serious bleeding after the birth and her fiance who allegedly did not know about the birth believed she was suffering from a stomach virus. He called for an ambulance that took her to hospital where she was taken for emergency surgery.

During the operation the doctor discovered the woman had recently given birth, and as she had not mentioned the baby, it was deemed suspicious.
The doctor at the hospital in the city of Luedenscheid, in the state of North Rhine Westphalia, notified police who rushed to her home. Officers who then began searching the property heard whimpering from a bag and found the newborn baby girl in the plastic bag behind her house. Police believe the baby had been there for around three hours.
The baby was suffering from hypothermia and had a body temperature of only 31 degrees and her oxygen levels were dropping, according to reports.
The baby was taken to hospital where she remains, but her life is no longer reported to be in danger.
Public prosecutor Michael Burggraf, 45, said: “The officers heard whimpering, the opened the blue bin bag and looked after the baby until the emergency doctor arrived.”
He continued: “At the hospital, doctors discovered the patient had recently given birth, as she had not mentioned this, police were notified.”
The mother, who also has a one-year-old child, has been arrested and investigations are being carried out.
It is claimed that the woman kept the pregnancy a secret. Police confirmed the mother had given birth to the baby on June 14th and had wrapped the baby girl in towels before disposing of her in the bin bag in the bushes.
According to investigators the woman claimed she was ‘scared’.
Burggraf added: “We are investigating charges of attempted murder against the woman. “
Investigator Andreas Moeller said: “The woman did everything she could to try and keep the pregnancy a secret.”
Both the one-year-old child and the baby have been taken into care while officials decide their future.
A neighbour said: “We cannot say anything bad against her. They were a little reclusive, but always greeted us in a friendly way when they saw us.”
Another neighbour said: “We had noticed her bigger stomach, but it could have been from her first pregnancy.”
The police have not commented on the baby’s father.
