Jose Mourinho’s former assistant has hinted the former Manchester United boss will move to Real Madrid as he could “get better results” and said he thinks Kylian Mbappe “will end up” with the Spanish giants.

Mourinho’s former assistant at Real Madrid Luis Campos gave an interview to sports show “El Chiringuito de Jugones” broadcast by La Sexta in Spain.

Campos spoke about Mourinho’s possible next club after the former Chelsea boss was let go by Manchester United in December of last year after a tough season in the Premier League.

According to Campos, Madrid is the clear next stop for Mourinho saying; “Real Madrid are a good thing. Jose Mourinho is a good thing. When we mix two good things together you get better results.”

Campos went on to say: “Real Madrid needs to have the best managers and Mourinho’s CV gives him the right to work in the best clubs.”

The former assistant also spoke about Kylian Mbappe following the striker’s hat-trick in PSG’s 5-0 victory over Club Brugge in the Champions League.

Campos hinted at his move to Madrid saying: “I think he will end up at Real Madrid.

“If he wants to be the best player in the world, he has to play for Real Madrid.”

Campos finished the interview assuring that: “It is unavoidable that they run into each other.”

Mourinho has reportedly rejected offers to manage top-flight European clubs like Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon and Borussia Dortmund.
