This is the moment a woman refuses to let go of her handbag and is dragged along the road with the bag’s strap by a motorbike purse snatcher.
The incident was filmed by a CCTV camera in the historical town of Muar in the southern Malaysian state of Johor, linked to the island state of Singapore by causeways.
In the footage, a young woman is seen walking along a side street with her black bag over her right shoulder.

A motorcycle turns the corner and as the biker passes the woman, he grabs her bag with his left hand.
The victim is yanked off the pavement and dragged along the street as she either refuses or is unable to let go of the strap.
According to local media, the robbery took place at around 2.30pm in the middle of town and the victim was admitted to hospital after suffering minor injuries.
Reports said that the woman was dragged along the ground for several metres and required hospital treatment.
Meanwhile, the suspect has yet to be identified by the local authorities.
If caught, the man could be charged with robbery and voluntarily causing hurt to another person which is punishable with a fine, whipping and a maximum of 20 years in prison, according to reports.
