This beautiful young football fan has been killed after a thug supporter from a rival team threw a rock at her head.

Local media report the 21-year-old victim who has been identified as Colombian top-flight side Independiente Santa Fe supporter Jenny Paola Socarras Alvarez, was walking on the National Route 45 along with friends and other Santa Fe fans after a visit to Monteria in the department of Cordoba in Colombia.

Media report as the group walked a truck containing 14 supporters of Valledupar threw a rock at the entourage which resulted in a fatal head injury which claimed the life of the 21-year-old.

The 14 people travelling in the truck that allegedly committed the violent act were detained by local police reportedly minutes after the incident.

The commanding officer of the Magdalena Medio motorways Captain Jhon Mendoza told reporters: “Valledupar supporters encountered Independiente Santa Fe supporters walking when a Valledupar fan threw a solid object which caused an open wound on the young woman’s head who later died.

“Fourteen people were apprehended and were left under the care of the appropriate authority. Seven are minors.”

No reports have been made on the identity of the Valledupar supporters or if there have been any charges made.

The fatal act comes even as the two clubs were not set to play. Independiente Sante Fe, based in the Colombian capital Bogota, play in Colombia’s top-flight Categoria Primera A while Valledupar are in the second division.
