A monster father has been arrested for raping his own two-year-old daughter, who required surgery after the attack.

The shocking incident took place in the city of Goiania in the Brazilian state of Goias on Saturday night (27th November).

According to police chief Gabriela Adas, the unnamed 25-year-old dad waited for his wife to pop to the supermarket to launch his attack.

He allegedly raped his own daughter, aged just one year and 11 months. The toddler’s mother reported the case after she arrived home to find her daughter bleeding with her naked husband nearby.

Adas was reported in local media as saying: “He said he was drinking and watching a football game and took advantage of being alone with his daughter and raped her.

“When his wife arrived, she caught the man naked and their daughter bleeding heavily. A tube of anaesthetic was also found close to the girl. The father admitted to the rape and fled straight after.”

He was caught in the town of Itaucu, over an hour’s drive away from Goiania, in a hotel. He was arrested and taken to the police station, where he confessed to the crime. According to Adas, he talked about the rape “openly”.

After the brutal attack, the girl’s anus needed to be surgically reconstructed. At the time of reporting, the mother remained by her young daughter’s side in hospital.

The police chief Adas was quoted as saying: “There is no way that this girl will ever live with her father again.”
