This is the cute moment a swan waddles along a busy dual carriageway in the middle of the day and holds up the traffic.

The incident was filmed in Novi Sad, a city in northern Serbia on the banks of the Danube River, and the footage has been widely shared on social media.

In the video, a white swan is seen waddling along the dual carriageway as a motorist and van driver try to get past.

With the swan walking in the middle of the road, drivers have to be careful to squeeze past and both vehicles eventually manage to pass the big bird.

Local media said the swan walked along the road for over a kilometre before finally leaving.
