This is the funny moment a tot smells her sleeping dad’s feet and shudders in disgust before toddling off, apparently about to cry.

The cute scene was filmed at the family home in the city of Ningbo in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang, and the footage was shared on the social network Douyin, also known as TikTok, by netizen ‘Stephanie Pan’, who posted the message: “The smell is too much.”

In the widely-shared clip, the toddler is seen curiously leaning towards her dad’s foot as he apparently sleeps on the sofa.

The girl has a good sniff and immediately recoils with a look of disgust on her face.

However, just as she is about to walk away, her curiosity is piqued again and her face straightens.

She then leans in for a second sniff of her dad’s pongy feet.

The girl shudders and toddles off with a grimace on her face that looks like it could lead to tears.

It is unclear if the father was shown the video after his nap to encourage him to do something about his apparent stinky feet, known medically as bromodosis.

The main cause of the condition is sweaty feet combined with wearing the same shoes every day.
