Moment Speeding Car Flies Over Roundabout In Flurry Of Sparks

This is the moment a speeding car flies over a roundabout in a flurry of sparks and crashes into a chapel wall.

The incident was filmed outside the chapel of Saint Andrew’s College in the town of Makhanda, formerly called Grahamstown, in the South African province of Eastern Cape on Wednesday (3 November, 2020).

The black and white CCTV footage shows a roundabout and quiet street in the dead of night.

All of a sudden, a speeding car is seen flying over the roundabout in a flurry of sparks before landing front-first on the bottom of the chapel wall and bouncing off.

A male driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle at a roundabout and crashed into the chapel wall.

Local police spokesperson Mali Govender said the motorist appeared to be bleeding from the ears and was promptly taken to hospital.

There have been no further updates on his condition.

Reports that the driver was a serviceman with the South African National Defence Force have not been confirmed.
