This is the moment a young mum lets her eight-month-old baby take the steering wheel as she speeds along a city street at night.

According to local media, the Russian mum, identified as Gusel Signatullina from the city of Almetyevsk in the south-western Russian republic of Tatarstan, was widely slammed by netizens after the footage appeared on social media.

In the video, the mum is seen allowing her baby, named Madina, to take the wheel as the eight-month-old girl sits on her lap and bops to the loud radio.

Signatullina, apparently finding the incident amusing, said: “Madina gave us all a lift today.”

However, not every shared the pretty mum’s casual reaction and netizens slammed her for “putting her daughter in possible danger”.

Netizen ‘Ninamukoseeva’ said: “This is just a sick way of getting likes on social media. Some people will do anything.”

‘Denis Deniskin’ commented: “Why would you have children? To get publicity…”

‘Maria Ivashina’ wrote: “Nobody seems to care that children should be strapped into a special seat and not left to sit on the driver’s lap. This mum is so irresponsible.”

‘Olga Filatova-Evteeva’ said: “Such an unpleasant woman.”

It is currently unclear whether the local authorities are looking into the matter.
