Moment Quick Thinking Woman Jumps Into Pool To Rescue Drowning Child

This is the moment a quick-thinking woman jumps into a pool to rescue a drowning child who fell in while trying to fill a bucket with water.

The incident took place in the city of Belem, which is located in the northern Brazilian state of Para, on Tuesday 16th November.

The footage, recorded by a home security system, shows the three-year-old boy walking up to the indoor swimming pool with a bucket.

There is a woman in the room as well, but she has her back to the pool.

The young boy bends over in a bid to fill his bucket with water, but he appears to lose his balance or slip and he falls in.

Luckily, the woman, reportedly a friend of the boy’s mother, turns around just as he falls in, allowing her to notice the incident.

She quickly hurries over to the swimming pool and, without giving it a moment’s thought, she jumps in and grabs hold of the young boy, ensuring that his head is above the water so that he can breathe.

Another woman, in the meantime, enters the room and she motions to the woman in the pool to hand her the boy.

The woman in the pool hands the boy to the other woman as other people enter the room, presumably alerted by the commotion.

The woman holding the boy in her arms appears to wag her finger at him while apparently lecturing him about the dangers of swimming pools.

None of the people in the footage were named and it is unclear if the boy required any medical treatment.
