Moment Out Of Control Yacht Repeatedly Crashes Into Boats In Italys Largest Port

This is the moment an out-of-control yacht repeatedly crashes into boats in Italy’s largest port.

The footage was shot in the Molo Vecchio marina, in the Porto Antico (the old port) of Genoa, in the north-western Liguria region, which, combined with the rest of the port, makes it Italy’s biggest port.

The yacht can be seen approaching a pier in reverse, where it hits two moored zodiacs with a thunderous crunch in the incident that happened Sunday morning.

Then, the footage shows the vessel changing direction and moving forwards, where it appears to run aground on a pier, damaging it, while onlookers can be heard expressing their surprise.

Port authorities are investigating the incident and assessing the damage made by the luxury yacht. The make and model of the yacht are currently unclear.

According to local media outlet Genova 24, initial information regarding the cause of the incident points to mechanical failures aboard the yacht.

The affected area in the marina is currently off-limits to the public while the authorities investigate the incident.

The name of the captain of the vessel had not been released at the time of writing and it is currently unclear who owns the vessel. No injuries have been reported.
