Moment Men Flee House As Landslide Hits Roof

This is the moment a man looks outside his house after hearing a strange noise and is stunned when a landslide hits the building a split second later, sending debris flying all over the courtyard.

The incident took place in the city of Luliang in Shanxi Province in northern China, located to the west of the capital Beijing, when the landslide hit the man’s house.

The footage shows a house in front of a steep, muddy hill, with its front door slightly ajar. A man is seen apparently tying his shoelaces in the door frame.

Suddenly a loud noise can be heard and the man straightens up and takes a look outside.

As soon as he pops his head around the door, the building is hit by a landslide that appears to be made up of rocks, branches and mud.

Another man emerges from the building as the two look on in wonder at what just happened.

Luckily, the landslide does not appear to have seriously damaged the building.

The first man, appearing to realise what just happened, then rushes over to a car which can be seen parked nearby and which appears to have narrowly avoided being hit by the landslide.

The name of the province of Shanxi means ‘west of the mountains’ in Chinese.
