This is the moment a maths teacher brutally beats up a young boy before other adults intervene.

The incident, which took place in the city of Aksaray, which is located in the Central Anatolia region in Turkey, has led to the mathematics teacher being arrested and suspended from the school.

The teacher has only been named in local media reports as Ali Riza Y. due to strict local privacy rules, and in the footage, he can allegedly be seen repeatedly hitting a young boy.

The victim has only been named as T. K., age unknown, in local media reports, and the teacher can be seen allegedly punching and slapping him in a corridor outside a classroom before another adult, presumably a teacher, intervenes and stops the violence.

The child’s father, who has been named as Duran K., said: “Another student went to the teacher, Ali Riza Y., and said ‘T. K. insulted you’.

“He kicked and slapped my son out of the classroom.”

He said that his son had been taken out of school for 10 days after receiving “an assault report from the hospital”.

He said that he then “filed a criminal complaint against the teacher at the prosecutor’s office”.

Duran added: “What kind of teacher is this? Beating a child of this age half to death has deeply injured us as a family.”

An investigation into the teacher has been launched and the authorities announced that he has been dismissed from the school. There will also be investigation by the Ministry of National Education, according to local media.

The Ortakoy Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that an investigation has been launched immediately over the footage “containing images of the teacher committing violence against his student”.

The teacher was first taken into custody before being released by the court with conditions after his statement was taken.
