Moment Massacre Unfolds Outside Mexican Bar Claiming Life Of Young Eccentric Millionaire

This is the moment gunmen fatally shoot six people including the young millionaire nephew of a former politician and injure two others outside a bar in a Mexican city.

The massacre took place outside ‘La Cantina 25’ on Enrique Ramirez Avenue in the city of Morelia in the Mexican state of Michoacan in the early hours of Monday, 18th October.

CCTV footage shows a crowd of people standing on the pavement as a van pulls up and two handgun-wielding men get out and open fire.

After discharging their weapons several times at the scattering crowd, they are joined by another gun-wielding accomplice who fires into the slumped bodies on the ground.

The gunmen are then seen getting into a white saloon car and a black SUV before their accomplices waiting inside drive them away.

Of the 20-plus people standing outside the bar, six were killed and two were injured, according to reports.

Among the dead is reportedly young millionaire Juan Rios Rebollo, nephew of the former federal representative Raul Rios Uribe.

According to news outlet El Universal, he was no more than 30 years old.

Rios Rebollo hailed from the municipality of Maravatio, also in Michoacan, and started out selling yoghurt before becoming a phone dealer and then inexplicably becoming a millionaire.

After moving to Morelia, he reportedly acquired several properties and high-end vehicles in a short space of time and became known for his eccentric and expensive dress taste.

Photos show him enjoying foreign holidays in destinations such as London and Rome and posing next to numerous expensive sports cars.

According to El Universal, he was known amongst his peers for being violent towards women and he reportedly had several criminal complaints lodged against him.

The news site also reported that the young man was accompanied by a woman at the time of the crime and that the two were the first to be shot.

Security commissioner Alejandro Gonzalez Cussi believes the massacre was a ‘settling of accounts’ between organised crime gangs.

He reported that some victims were hit with over 20 bullets and that the police arrived on the scene shortly after the incident and provided first aid to the wounded.

The police do not yet know if Rios Rebollo was the perpetrators’ main target.

Two vehicles involved in the incident were found and seized by the police who continue to investigate the case.
