This is the shocking moment a man is allegedly shot dead by his brother-in-law after being blasted from behind in cold blood when he revealed he wanted a divorce.

The victim, Ali Gorcin, is seen running down the street, chased by a man armed with a shotgun in terrifying scenes captured on nearby CCTV cameras in broad daylight.

As his pursuer gets closer, he can be seen and heard firing the gun, sending the other man slumping to the ground, with his attacker running past the body and into the streets beyond.

The incident happened in the Gemlik district of Bursa province, in north-western Turkey.

It was later confirmed that Gorcin had suffered a head wound and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services. His body was taken to Gemlik hospital.

Police have now launched an investigation and confirmed they are hunting for a suspect who they have identified as Bayram Candan K., who is believed to be the husband of the woman Gorcin was in the process of divorcing.

An argument is said to have developed between the two men over the proposed divorce, leading to the incident.
