This is the moment a man shoots his brother twice during a row in the street in broad daylight before repeatedly hitting him and walking off.

The incident was filmed in the neighbourhood of in the district of Gaziosmanpasa in Turkey’s largest city Istanbul on 10th November.

In the footage, the suspect, wearing a blue top and identified by local media outlet Sabah as Ibrahim Kuscu, is seen reaching for a gun and allegedly shooting his seated brother Hasan Kuscu in the midriff.

He then allegedly fires the weapon a second time before kicking Hasan and pointing the gun to his head.

Ibrahim then beats his brother and stands over his cowering body, hitting him, shouting at him and making threatening gestures.

He then appears to argue with a local resident in the building in front of which the incident is taking place and points the gun upwards at them before walking off.

While local media reports named the two brothers as Hasan Kuscu, the victim, and Ibrahim Kuscu, the alleged shooter, the reason for the argument is currently unknown.

Ibrahim injured his brother by firing two shots into his abdomen and hip, according to local media outlet DHA.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and treated the victim before taking him to the Basaksehir Cam Sakura Hospital by ambulance. There have been no further updates on his current condition.

Meanwhile, the local police arrested Ibrahim, who fled after the incident.

The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
