This is the moment three thugs board a bus posing as passengers before one of them – carrying a machete – allegedly threatens the driver and robs him.

The bus was on the Mexico-Puebla motorway, in Guadalajara in the central Mexican state of Jalisco when the incident occurred.

In the CCTV video, three men with caps can be seen boarding the bus. The first moves straight towards the driver and places his hand around the driver’s neck.

The third man then swings a machete in the driver’s face menacingly as the second thug watches on.

Local media reported one of the men as saying: “Give me the money. Give me the bills.”

The driver immediately puts his hands up, offering no resistance to the suspected thieves.

He can then be seen handing in the few money notes and waving his hands in an apparent effort to calm the situation.

The three men eventually get off the bus calmly and the shaken-looking driver closes the doors of the vehicle as if nothing has happened.

Local media reported that the Mexico-Puebla motorway has become increasingly dangerous with attacks on public transportation becoming more common.

It is unknown whether any investigations have been launched or if any arrests have been made in relation to the alleged robbery.
