The police were able to identify the suspect from the CCTV images and arrested him earlier this week, however, the 36-year-old man has so far refused to admit to taking part in the victim’s death. The authorities added that he has also provided contradictory statements.

Police spokesperson Pablo Aguiar said: “We still don’t know why he killed Luciana. We can only find out from his confession, but he’s a cold guy.”

Aguiar added that the suspect worked on a building site near the victim’s home, but had no previous connection with the victim.
