Moment Head On Motorbike Crash Results In Fiery Explosion Injuring Three, One Seriously

This is the moment two motorbikes explode in a fireball as they collide head-on on a road, leaving three injured including one critically.

The incident was captured on a security camera at a petrol station in the Brazilian city of Brusque on the night of Monday 14th June.

It shows how the two motorbikes collide head-on, exploding in a fireball, before people at the scene come to the injured victims’ aid.

According to the police, one biker, whose female partner was riding pillion, made a left turn to enter the petrol station when they were hit by the other male biker who was travelling straight ahead in the opposite direction.

The collision between the vehicles was so powerful that it resulted in an explosion. An attendant at the petrol station witnessed the scene and put out the flames with a fire extinguisher.

The emergency services were then called and arrived on the scene to take the injured trio to hospital.

One of the victims, a 29-year-old man, was conscious and still wearing his helmet when he was rescued.

However, despite the headgear, he still suffered multiple injuries to the skull and face, fractures to the arms and legs, and suspected severe traumatic brain injury. At the time of reporting, he was in a critical condition.

The state of the other two victims was unknown at the time of reporting. However, they were reported to remain hospitalised.

Brazil’s National Traffic Agency reported in 2015 that motorcycle riders are the main victims of traffic accidents in the South American country.
