This is the moment a bulldozer falls into a torrent of floodwater that caused the soil to crumble away as heavy rain continues to batter the north of Turkey.
Heavy rainfall started in the Black Sea region of Turkey on 11th August, causing floods and landslides in many provinces.
According to the news site Sputnik, 17 people have so far been killed by floods as of 12th August. The search for missing persons continues.

The bulldozer was filmed toppling into floodwater in the district of Ayancik in the province of Sinop after it was sent to the area to help clear roads.
According to the news site Son Dakika, the driver, who felt the vehicle slipping backwards and realised it was about to topple into the fast-moving water, managed to jump out seconds before it fell.
Flooding has occurred in the provinces of Bartin, Sinop, Karabuk and Kastamonu, which has been hit by heavy downpours since 11th August.

Residents living in flood-affected districts were evacuated to safe areas. The Ayancik State Hospital, which was damaged by the flood, was also evacuated.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez held a press conference about the disaster.
Pakdemirli said: “When we look meteorologically, we are faced with a disaster that may occur once in 100 years.”

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources announced in a statement that electricity could not be supplied to nearly 30,000 households in the flooded region.
