The incident took place in the city of Benxi, which is located in Liaoning Province, in north-eastern China, near the border with North Korea.

The footage shows a woman suddenly attacking the bus driver, who has not been named, with a hammer and hitting him on the head. The bus driver is seen apparently exchanging words with the woman and looking at his phone when she suddenly attacks him.

The hammer appears to strike him on the forehead. Blood can then be seen gushing down the man’s face as he covers it with his hand.

The woman then repeatedly strikes the bus driver, apparently hitting his arm and other parts of his body in the relentless attack.

The bus driver is seen with his right arm raised in a defensive position.

He then looks at his left hand which appears to be covered in blood from his face and head.

The woman, who has not been named, was left angry after the bus driver’s colleague allegedly called her mentally abnormal, according to local media.

It is unclear if the woman was arrested and if the bus driver required hospital treatment. There have been no further reports on his current condition.
