Moment Aeroplane Flies Between Skyscrapers In Densely Populated City

This footage shows an aeroplane flying between skyscrapers in a densely populated city in China.

The incident took place in Xindu District, in Chengdu City, which is the capital of south-western China’s Sichuan Province and the footage was shared online on 18th September.

The footage, which was filmed from inside the aircraft, shows it flying just a few hundred feet off the ground and the tops of the skyscrapers on either side are much higher than the height at which the aircraft is flying.

Local media said that the aircraft had “obviously violated the civil aviation regulations” because aircraft passing through densely populated areas are required to fly at a minimum height of 300 metres above any obstacles, which the aircraft clearly is not doing in the footage.

The authorities are aware of the incident, which shows the aircraft flying closely past high-rise buildings, and the Sichuan Civil Aviation Supervision Bureau are reportedly investigating.

No arrests have been announced at the time of writing.
