This is the adorable moment new zoo resident Dindin the panda bear shows off the “101 different ways of playing with a car tyre”.
The video was shared on social media by Moscow Zoo in the western Russian capital city with the message: “The female panda likes to jump into the tyres and stand on her head in them.
“Sometimes she gently nibbles the tyres or drags them from one place to another where she lies in them, spreading her legs wide in the air.
“Dindin loves them and she has 101 different ways of playing with a car tyre.”
When Dindin grows tired of them, she likes to move on to her other enclosure toys which include balls, cardboard boxes and plastic barrels, according to the zoo.
She also enjoys the enclosure’s water feature, especially on sunny days.
Zoo director Svetlana Akulova told Central European News (CEN): “We import bamboo from China every Friday and they eat around 40 kilogrammes (88 lbs) every day.
“They also like pancakes, which we make from cornmeal. The rest of their diet includes carrots, sweet potatoes and apples.”
Reports said that two giant pandas, male Juy and female Dindin, arrived in Moscow from the Chinese province of Sichuan at the end of April 2019.
The cute pair remained in quarantine until 1st July when they were presented to the public for the first time. They have been introduced into the zoo as part of a breeding programme.
Dindin is said to be the calmer of the two, despite her energetic antics in the footage.
