Stunning model and WAG Maria Pogrebnyak-Shatalova has slammed designer companies making money out of branded face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The gorgeous model and designer, who is married to former English Premier League star and UEFA Cup champion Pavel Pogrebnyak, 36, made the comments on Instagram where she boasts 1.1 million followers.

During a Q&A session with fans, the breathtaking blonde was asked whether she was going to release her own line of face masks.

She said: “People make masks from regular fabric, embroider them with beads, add adornments and other features, and then call it fashion. They offer it as a new, trendy means of protecting yourself from COVID-19.

“People, wake up! Regular fabric won’t protect you from the virus. A piece of cloth covered in beads will only restrict your breathing, make the fabric wet in no time, and end up as a perfect surface for spreading germs.”

The model and WAG also stressed that someone is more likely to contract a virus with a fancy designer mask than a regular one.

The blue-eyed stunner added: “If you don’t want to look after yourself, think about your relatives and those around you.”

Netizen ‘lpgFiguraKhv’ commented: “Well said!”

Instagram user ‘Yulechka9933’ said: “Maria, you are bang on.”
