This gorgeous Playboy model said that Harvey Weinstein’s recent imprisonment means that actresses will no longer have to “sleep their way to the top”.
Russian model and reality star Alena Vodonaeva, 37, made the revelation on Instagram where she has 2.2 million followers.
The leggy model shared her thoughts after American film producer Harvey Weinstein, 67, was sentenced to 23 years in prison on 11th March for third-degree rape and forcible sexual assault of two women.
Vodonaeva believes the judgement will have a huge impact on the film industry, saying: “With this verdict, Hollywood has got rid of the problem of sexual harassment for at least the current generation of actresses.
“The phrase ‘sleep your way to the top’ will cease to be relevant.
“Weinstein was not sentenced for harassment, he was sentenced for sexual abuse proved in court.”
She added: “In general, romance between actresses and filmmakers are common, and such relationships have often given birth to masterpieces!
“But after the Weinstein case, I’m not sure filmmakers will rush to fall in love with younger actresses. Will it mean signing contracts to legally determine their relationships? I’m not sure, but I think bureaucracy and passion are incompatible.”
She also believes that Weinstein’s imprisonment will lead to new and talented actresses breaking onto the scene “otherwise why was he sentenced”.
Vodonaeva first found fame on ‘Dom-2’ (‘House 2’), Russia’s longest-running reality show in which contestants have to build a home while trying to find the perfect partner in the process.
In the past, the controversial Playboy model, who once claimed to have performed oral sex on her boyfriend outside the Kremlin, said that she is disgusted by overweight people and does not want them next to her on public transport or in the same swimming pool as her.
