This Mexican model and young mother who disappeared when she was snatched off the street while shopping has been found dead in a clandestine grave containing at least six other bodies of as yet unidentified people.
Glamorous mother-of-one Yessenia Estefania Alvarado, 24, from the city of Ciudad Obregon in the north-western Mexican state of Sonora, was reported as missing by her parents on 19th August.
She had been shopping when the gang-of-four men kidnapped the model in the municipality of Cajeme in a pickup truck.
The model’s dead body was one of seven found in a shallow grave in the area of Canal Bajo in Cajeme on 20th September.
Some reports say that there may be at least five other bodies to be added to the total, although, the extra deaths have not yet been confirmed by prosecutors.
She was initially identified when relatives identified clothing found in the mass grave as belonging to the young woman, and DNA analysis has now confirmed the identity.
When she vanished, her brother Juan Carlos Alvarado Rivera has posted the photographs of the online appealing for somebody to help find her.
He wrote: “You’re going to come back sister you’re a very good woman, you don’t mess with anyone, you’re a super mom you’re going to come back because this is all a misunderstanding and because of the love you have for your son.”
When news of her death was then confirmed, he added a message saying: “Fly high sister. I’m going to miss you so much my sister, my life partner, see you soon to be back together, my Queen.”
The local police also found the remains of six other bodies in the grave including three men, two women, and a victim whose gender has not been established yet.
Forensics experts are analysing the bodies and the grave-site and have already confirmed that one of the victims was Alvarado. The other remains have yet to be identified.
Since the grave was discovered, the police have arrested three suspects.
The victim’s family has to release a statement.
The investigation is ongoing.
