The Egyptian forward was filmed standing on a balcony at the JW Marriott Hotel Cairo in the country’s capital while the photoshoot was taking place outside.

Salah, 28, was forced to isolate in the hotel after testing positive for the novel coronavirus two times while in his home country on international duty.

Photographer Mahmoud Mousa told Newsflash: “I have been photographing weddings for around five years and this wasn’t my first job at the hotel.

“I saw the Egyptian football team’s bus in front of the hotel and I knew the team was inside, but I didn’t expect to see Salah there because of his situation.

“We started the photoshoot and then the groom noticed a curly-haired man standing on his room’s balcony.

“The groom knew it was Salah so he shouted his name and the Egyptian star came out (on the balcony) to greet and congratulate the couple.

“After that, they asked to take photos with him (at a safe distance in the background) and he immediately agreed.”

Mousa told Newsflash: “We took photos, and I grabbed a selfie with him because I love him so much, then Salah told the couple about his wish to attend their wedding but was unable to because of his infection.

“He then wished them a happy life together.”

The Egyptian FA confirmed that Salah had registered two positive coronavirus tests on Friday night.

Earlier in the week, the Liverpool star attended his brother’s wedding in Cairo before joining his Egyptian teammates.

He was snapped not wearing a face mask or respecting social distancing measures and even happily bopped alongside other wedding guests.
