This is the touching moment former Miss Universe and ex-wife of pop star Marc Anthony bursts into tears after finishing her last cancer treatment session.

One year ago, Puerto Rican model and singer Dayanara Torres, 45, was diagnosed with skin cancer and she posted a touching video on Instagram for her 1.4 million followers.

In February, Torres, who was crowned Miss Universe in 1993, told her fans that she had a cancerous mole behind her knee that needed to be removed along with other areas where it had spread to.

In the footage, Torres is accompanied by her mum, friends and relatives as she received her final treatment and bursts into tears

She wrote: “What a year, full of emotions, uncertainty, exhaustion, intense pain that does let me rest or sleep, weight gain, daily nausea and even tasting metal with ever meal.

“However, this has also given me a year of learning, and what a strong life lesson this has been for me.”

Torres called it a great day for her and her family, and that she hopes the final results will confirm she has beaten the illness.

She also thanked all her followers for supporting and praying for her during this tough period.

In a message for her mum, Torres wrote: “You have not only given me all your help to carry on, you also lifted me up whenever I fell down.

“Thanks for not letting me go and installing your faith in me to keep going.”

Torres was in a relationship with Latin superstar Marc Anthony for 10 years and they have two teenage sons together.
