This is the moment Hollywood star Michael Douglas asks his online followers to guess which city he is in ahead of Latin America’s oldest film festival which is honouring him with a lifetime achievement award this year.

The 75-year-old actor is visiting Colombia ahead of the country’s Cartagena Film Festival in the coastal city of Cartagena between 11th and 16th March.

During a visit to the city of Medellin, Douglas teased his Instagram followers with a cityscape he asked them to identify.

Many netizens recognised Medellin’s famous Metrocable gondola lift system where Douglas is standing in the video.

The ‘Basic Instinct’ star visited many of Medellin’s most popular landmarks and he also sampled the local ‘mango biche’ snack, according to reports.

He reportedly stopped at the El Poblado restaurant to enjoy traditional Colombian cuisine.

Douglas spoke with reporters outside the restaurant and told them he was having a “wonderful time” in Colombia. During his stay, he has also been snapped in the city of Cali.

Ahead of the Cartagena Film Festival, Douglas has reportedly been given a lifetime achievement award and he thanked the festival’s organisers for recognising his six decades in TV and film.

Last week, Douglas was photographed visiting Majorca in the Spanish Balearic Islands and he said on Instagram that he had been in Miami in the US before travelling on to Colombia.
