Mexican Wrestler, 35, Dies Of Heart Attack Hours After Arena Show

A Mexican wrestler has reportedly died of a heart attack aged 35 after taking part in an arena show.

Mexican ‘luchador’ Toro Bill Jr died after a performance at the Arena Puebla in the city of Puebla in the central Mexican state of the same name on 25th April.

The World Wrestling Council (CMLL) confirmed the wrestler’s untimely death on social media today (26th April).

The organisation stated: “CMLL joins the sorrow that overwhelms the fighting family due to the sensitive death luchador Toro Bill Jr., who had an outstanding career in the Puebla Arena. We express our deepest condolences and solidarity to his family and friends for this irreparable loss. Rest in peace.”

Toro Bill Jr was a popular fighter on the luchador circuit in Puebla State and was involved in numerous bouts at the lucha libre arena where he reportedly suffered a heart attack on Monday.

He took part in the second fight of the night and reportedly died a couple of hours later.

Local media reported that he died of a sudden heart attack, however his cause of death has not been confirmed by the CMLL or his family.

Alongside Rey Apocalipsis, Toro Bill Jr was best known as a member of the duo ‘Batallon de la Muerte’ (‘Death Battalion’).

Wrestling fans paid tribute to the luchador on social media, with one netizen commenting: “Have a good trip brother! Thank you for giving us emotion and making your fights something unique! Rest in peace.”

It is unclear if he had any underlying conditions or had recently undergone any medical treatments.
