They catch the attention of a goat that calmly strolls behind them, but a frantic white duck is seen lagging behind the gaggle, apparently believing it is one of them.
Trying desperately to catch up, the duck waddles into one of the enclosures hoping to rejoin its ‘family’.
‘Striker Tahana’ commented: “The duck was so cute, trying to catch up to the geese returning home.”
Chiba Zoological Park opened in 1985 and houses over 149 different animals. Although the zoo is well-known for its red pandas, many Japanese visitors believed that the duck chase was the highlight of the day.
Netizens’ comments included “thanks for making my day, it’s so cute”, “I was there when this happened and it was so adorable”, and “I love how it tried its best to catch them”.
