Manhunt After Thugs Cover Stray Dog In Green Paint

A stray dog has been completely painted green by unknown thugs and local animal NGOs are trying to track down the culprits.

The stray animal was photographed in the municipality of Subang Bestari in the district of Petaling located in the western Malaysian state of Selangor and the images were shared on Facebook by netizen ‘Shazreen Othuman’ where they have been widely circulated.

According to Othuman, the dog had been painted green by unknown local thugs.

He accompanied the photos with the message: “Such a cute innocent fellow, but why the green? I don’t think he has an owner though.

“Whoever did this must be a mental A*SE! Idiotic mentality some humans have!”

According to local media, Othuman’s post has been shared by numerous Malaysian animal societies who are hoping to receive information that leads to identifying the cruel culprits.

The Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue also appealed on social media for people to come forwards with information.

Netizens were also outraged by the painted pooch and expressed concern that the dye may affect it.

One social media user said: “OMG. Poor baby!”

Another wrote: “Poor dog. They keep torturing animals.”

Reports said that paints and dyes can be dangerous for animals, possibly causing respiratory problems, nausea, dizziness and skin reactions.
