A romantic Thai man who thought he had ordered a two-man tent for a saucy trip away with his girlfriend was embarrassed when he received a tent meant for a pet cat.

Thai netizen ‘Kosol Sankhankaew’ posted photos of the diminutive pink ‘tent’ on Facebook where they have been widely circulated.

One image shows the buyer lying inside the cat tent with only his head and shoulders sheltered from the elements.

He explained that he ordered the item on the online e-commerce site Shopee for around GBP 11 thinking it was a couple’s tent for a romantic trip away with his girlfriend. The item also had a good rating of 4.2 out of 5.

However, the hopeless romantic was left hanging when a pink cat-tent bed was delivered instead of a two-person camping tent.

The Thai netizen then realised that he had mistakenly ordered the item from a pet shop.

He reminded online users to carefully check all the details when purchasing goods on the internet.

It is unclear if the man intends to buy a cat to house in his new pet bed.
