A man who was photographed with a huge knife sticking out of his head after a random attack has not only survived – but returned to work three days after the ordeal.
The incredible escape comes after victim Christopher Harker, 38, also survived being shot seven times when he was also given up for dead.
He works at an off-licence in the township of Mitchells Plains in the South African province of Western Cape where the attack happened.
Harker was taking a break in the shopping centre’s car park on 11th November when he suddenly noticed a “guy coming out of nowhere” before feeling a strong blow on the side of his head.
The father-of-two said that he chased after the mysterious man which is when he realised he had a large knife still embedded in the right side of his head.
Eyewitnesses who rushed to his aid told the man to not pull the knife out of his temple area and to wait for an ambulance to arrive.
He added that he went to hospital himself and that patients were “looking at me in shock”.
Harker needed four stitches for the knife wound and was prescribed painkillers before returning to work just three days later.
The local police said the stabbing took place at 12.23pm, and that they are still trying to track down the perpetrator.
Harker said that he was shot seven times three years ago and was pronounced dead at the scene, adding that his relatives even saw him with a white sheet covering his body.
He claimed that he “got up and entered the house I was nearest to”.
An ambulance arrived and took the charmed man to hospital.
The investigation into his alleged stabbing continues.
