This is the heartwarming moment a man uses the help of dozens of random people off the street to gift a red rose to his girlfriend outside a cafe before arriving to drop to one knee and pop the big question.

The romantic gesture was filmed outside Beer & Caffe in the Serbian city of Subotica and the cafe owners posted the clip on their Facebook page where it has been viewed 30,000 times.

In the footage, a long line of people is seen walking up to a woman sitting outside a cafe and presenting her with a red rose.

At the end, a smiling man saunters over to the stunned woman and gifts her with the last rose before dropping to one knee and opening a ring box.

The overwhelmed woman apparently fights back the tears as the man asks her to marry him and she nods her head and then embraces her new fiancee.

The camera pans to a crowd of people cheering and clapping the happy couple.

The Serbian cafe posted the video with the message: “Love is all around us, and we sometimes fear it, avoid it, hide from it, don’t give it a chance. And she is there, around some corner maybe, waiting. Embrace love, give it a chance, because it is so beautiful, the strongest force in the world!”

The post continues: “Our dear friend decided to give his girlfriend a romantic surprise and show her (and us) how much love really makes sense.

“Thank you to all the dear people who have been a part of this and helped our dear friend propose to his girlfriend in such a romantic way.”

‘Beer & Caffe’ told local media that they found the people who brought roses to the woman after her boyfriend said that he planned to propose there.

Facebook user ‘Umihana Cosickic’ wrote: “This is the most romantic proposal I have ever seen! Congratulations to the young man, long live love! Always be happy together.”

Netizen ‘Zineta Sinanovic’ commented: “This is true love!”

‘Svetlana Stankovic’ remarked: “Congratulations! Long live love!”
