A man suspected of shooting his ex-partner in the head multiple times in front of her children has been found dead.

Larice Wagner, 37, was shot several times in the head in front of her children at her home in the Brazilian municipality of Araquari on the night of 23rd November.

She died of her injuries in the emergency department of the local hospital and was buried on 25th November.

The prime suspect was her ex-partner, an unnamed 65-year-old South Korean man, who had been living in Brazil since the age of five.

Their four-year-relationship had ended a month prior to the mother’s death. The police are treating the crime as femicide and they believe it was premeditated and motivated by the break-up.

Shortly after the crime, the suspect, who has family in the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina where the crime took place, went missing.

The police monitored the country’s airports, however, the suspect was found dead in the patio of his workplace, an unnamed South Korean multinational where the victim also worked, on the morning of 25th November.

He is believed to have killed himself with the same gun he used to shoot his ex-partner when he noticed a police vehicle arriving.

Wagner leaves behind five children, whose ages have not been revealed.

It is unclear if the suspect was their biological father.
