This is the moment a cocky motorist steers his speeding car with his fancy boots while twirling his prayer beads and munching on an elaborate fruit salad.

The reckless motorist, identified as Abulkadir E., was investigated after he posted a video of him driving illegally in the north-eastern Turkish province of Erzurum on social media.

According to reports, instead of being impressed by the bald man’s dance moves, driving skills and choice of footwear, netizens tore into him online and the local authorities ended up catching wind.

An investigation and subsequent trial led to a five-month prison sentence.

In the incriminating footage, Abulkadir does his best to appear cool in a pair of shades, opened shirt and a pair of fancy boots.

As he sings along with the radio, the driver uses his hands to play with his prayer beads and pick grapes from an elaborate fruit salad.

All the while he is steering the speeding car with his feet.

Following a social media storm surrounding Abulkadir’s unpopular video, police promptly tracked him down and arrested him.

The defendant was referred to court and sentenced to five months in prison or a 3,000 TRY (420 GBP) fine. He accepted the latter.

Netizen ‘Saffet Korogulu’ said: “People lose their lives because of idiots like this. The punishment was not enough. He should have been tried for attempted murder!”

‘Burhan Yildirim’ commented: “Is it really worth being so stupid just to gain popularity on social media? What if you killed a child or an entire family? If you want adventure, go take part in extreme sports!”
