This is the shocking moment a biker rams his scooter onto his girlfriend and repeatedly punches her before making her climb onto the vehicle with him and riding away as she sobs.

The incident was filmed by an eyewitness in Bangsar South in the western Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur and posted on Twitter where it has been viewed 985,000 times.

The cameraman, identified as Khalil Jamian, told local media that he heard the woman’s screams below his apartment at around 9pm and decided to film the incident.

In the clip, the boyfriend is seen riding away from his partner who is left sitting on the kerb.

He then circles around and rides directly into the woman and appears to ride over her legs.

She manages to sit up and the man gets off the scooter and repeatedly hits her.

At one point, he even takes something from his seat and smashes it down on her.

However, despite the apparent beating, the young woman jumped on the back of the man’s bike and rode off with him without a helmet on, although she appears to be sobbing in the footage.

In response to online criticism that the cameraman should have gone down to help, Khalil said that it was over in less than two minutes and he did not have enough time to run down.

It is currently unclear whether the local authorities are investigating the incident.
