This is the moment a man charges onto a stage and punches his best friend’s wife after he spots her passionately snogging a stranger during a shopping centre’s public kissing competition.

The man, who was one of the sponsors of the event celebrating Singles’ Day, revealed that the woman was also his employee who entered the competition in order to win a prize.

Footage from the Sun International Cineplex in the county of Meitan, which is in south-western China’s Guizhou Province, shows several couples locking lips on stage during the kissing contest on 10th November.

While it was not revealed what prize winners would receive, the best kissers would be judged on how long and how passionately they snogged.

In the video, however, the woman’s boss spots her kissing the other man on stage and marches towards her from the crowd.

He punches the woman in the face multiple times, interrupting the passionate moment before storming off stage again with other staff members in pursuit.

This happens as other contestants snog away completely unaware of the drama.

The boss, who has not been named, was detained by police and has since released a statement explaining and apologising for his actions.

He said: “I sponsored the event and brought six staff members with me on the day.

“One of them was the woman in question, who is also the wife of my best friend.

“I don’t know who the man was.

“The condition for taking part in the kissing competition is that participants must be in a relationship or married.

“My employee entered the contest in order to win the prize.

“She brought a friend and they entered the contest on the false pretence of being lovers.

“Before the event began, I had already told her she would not be allowed to take part. I also called her husband.

“But she did not follow my advice. That’s why I went on stage and hit her.

“Luckily, other staff members stopped me before my actions could have a greater impact on the day’s proceedings.

“I sincerely apologise to the organisers and all members of the public present.

“I also apologise to my staff members and have received the forgiveness of my employee.”

According to reports, the female employee has chosen not to press charges against her boss.
