A wealthy Philippine businessman has built this huge seven-bedroom luxury villa as a thank you to a poor couple who adopted him as an orphaned three-month-old baby.

According to local media, Jayvee Lazaro Badile’s foster parents Tatai, a former hotel porter, and Nanai, a street vendor, could not bear to see the three-month-old boy be sent to an orphanage after the death of his parents so they decided to foster him.

Although they did not have much money, the Philippine couple wanted to provide a roof over his head and a good education for his future.

Now 28 years old, Jayvee said: “Life was hard growing up, but as long as we had two meals a day, we were happy.”

The family lived in a tiny 215-square-foot flat with 28 other tenants which was rat infested and often suffered power cuts. There was also only one bathroom and no running water, according to reports.

As a teen, Jayvee wanted to make his foster parents proud and he worked hard to get into university before joining an insurance company after graduation.

He reportedly worked hard for the firm for seven years and was then rewarded with promotion to branch manager.

His new role with the company brought him financial stability and he has been able to repay his foster parents’ kindness with frequent trips around the world and a luxury villa.

The three-storey, seven-bedroom home is for his kind foster parents to enjoy their twilight years.

Jayvee said on social media: “I finally have the opportunity to give back to my parents, realise their dreams, and even surpass their imagination.”
