This is the moment a young man is knocked out by a burly passerby who spotted him hitting an OAP.

The incident was filmed in the city of Rosario in the north-eastern Argentine province of Santa Fe, and the footage was shared on Facebook where it has been viewed over 400,000 times.

In the video, an OAP is seen striking a young man on the pavement with a shopping bag.

The young man responds by punching the OAP in the face, who appears dazed by the blow.

While the young man appears to prepare for a follow-up attack, a burly onlooker is seen running towards him.

The stocky man flattens him with a right hander before standing over him and yelling.

The young man eventually gets to his feet and the pair squares up on the pavement.

The burly man hits his rival with two solid jabs before landing a right hand that sends him crashing to the ground again, apparently knocked out.

At the end of the clip, several onlookers are seen pulling the stocky man away.

According to local media, no one has filed a complaint with the authorities and no arrests have been made yet.

It is unclear whether the police are investigating the incident and what caused the young man to hit the OAP and why the burly man intervened. No names were mentioned in local media.
