According to local media, the main suspect in her alleged murder is her boyfriend, 26-year-old Joshua Francisco, and he is said to have admitted to the murder to cops when questioned.

He later led the authorities to the point where he allegedly dumped the remains of his ex-girlfriend.

The limbs and head were not found and he allegedly left them outside the nearby houses, just before a rubbish truck passed by.

Criminal investigators from the State Attorney General’s Office reportedly found a torso on a vacant lot in the municipality of Valencia.

Saucedo was slim, with red, curly hair and a short stature and a tattoo on her stomach, which the authorities matched with one they found on the torso.

Francisco said he threw away the rest of her remains in rubbish bins nearby right before the bin lorry made its daily stops.

Saucedo’s family had reported her disappearance on 11th August after she left her parents’ home to go to her boyfriend’s house to pick up her things and break things off with Francisco.

That was the last time they saw her alive.

Despite these findings, the authorities have not officially declared the identity of the victim because they are waiting for the DNA tests to confirm if the body belongs to Saucedo.

Francisco and Saucedo had a romantic relationship and had been living together since November last year, according to reports.

She reportedly decided to end their relationship because of physical and psychological abuse and even filed a restraining order but the ex-boyfriend convinced her to forgive him promising he would change.

Once she agreed, the alleged abuse is said to have started again so she decided to end their relationship.

On 11th August, she was on her way to his place to collect her belongings and end the relationship.

The Prosecutor’s Office ordered Francisco’s arrest for Saucedo’s femicide.

According to local media, during the first hearing of the criminal proceedings against Francisco, the Prosecutor’s Office presented more than 20 pieces of evidence against the defendant, which pointed to his responsibility for the murder of Saucedo.

It is unclear whether the suspect is currently detained or if he has been charged.
